Baby Porter

So as much as I have loved the style of "reporting" on the Porters Palace news, it is really hard to keep up with it! I'm not near as motivated as I should be to do this blogging business, so I'm going to try harder to not feel like it's going to be too much work to do it as a news report... so I'm dropping that style. Sorry if you have enjoyed it! Maybe every once in awhile when I'm feeling creative I will...

There's been much happening since I've last blogged but I'm just going to sum it up with...

BABY!

Caleb Lee Porter made his grand entrance on August 29, 2011. He was 8 lbs, 20 inches. I was able to deliver him naturally with no complications. Praise the Lord :) I love this kiddo so much! I have been blessed that to date I've been able to stay at home with him, but we expect that beginning in January I will need to work part-time to help with household income.

He is doing great- growing so well, getting so big already. His 4 month check up is next week so I will post those stats (eventually). But I'm guessing he is around 14 lbs now and about 23 inches long. That means he will have maintained that 50 percentile business. He's very strong- has good control of his head and loves to sit himself up. My baby boy only likes to be cradled if he's asleep, otherwise he pulls himself up. Tummy time is going really well, he can really hold himself up for several minutes and turn his head to look at different things. He isn't strong enough to balance on one hand so that he can reach with the other just yet. But he does reach well with his gym and LOVES the octopus toy (it has a rattle attached to it).

He looks just like his daddy ;) Which means he is quite the handsome little man! This momma just can't get enough of him! Which means if/when I DO go back to work, I know I will be shedding the tears.

Makes your heart melt :)

Anyways, here's our first ever Porter Christmas card! We are so excited to ring in the New Year with our little one. Hopefully it will be a year full of faith, love, and peace... and more blog updates!
