He loves like a hurricane

He loves like a hurricane

Time is flying...

Has it really been that long since I last posted? Oh my... so Caleb is now 6 months, has made his 3rd trip to the beach (to see Grandpa and Nana, of course!), and is still NOT rolling over. He just is not interested in it at all. He will lay on his side and stare at any tempting toy or food I set just out of reach, and he'll reach for it, but just goes back to his back. He has been waking up at 1 am on the dot and we've tried letting him cry it out... but he doesn't stop crying and after 45 minutes I feel terrible and run to his rescue. Until Monday night, we fed him some bananas later than usual, not quite a full meal but enough to calm him so we could eat our dinner, and he slept til 4:30 am, straight through the 1 am normal routine. So... he really is hungry and needed some extra food to get him through longer? Trial and error: I fed him some oatmeal last night and he woke up every 2 hours. Trial and error: I fed him some oatmeal again tonite to be consistent. That puts him at 2 solid meals a day now, about 2-3 tablespoons each. I've got to get better at giving him water during the day, he's starting to have way too solid BMs. Not ready to start juices yet, I'm trying to stick closely to the Super Baby Foods book/guide on all this. Hopefully I can do a 6 month post for him soon.

He also pooped in the potty for me yesterday morning! I know this seems so silly to many a people. He even acted like he wasn't ready to get off the toilet after he had gone a little, then pooped more, then was ready to get off! I promise you, his body language was "I'm not ready yet mom, there's more and you'll be mad if you have to clean this up!" Heehee :) Very proud of my boy.

The stomach bug hit our home, though thankfully but unfortunately just hit Josh. He was out of work for 3 days last week! No classes either... and now it's spring break. I can't believe spring is right around the corner- I'm so excited for hopefully more consistent warm weather so Caleb and I can go out and play and hopefully have some play dates!

I have yet to return to PPC to help with tax season, but my coworker's baby is due soon and I've been told my services may be needed for this last month. I am working about 8 hours a week for a landscaping business in Wake Forest, bookkeeping. I am really enjoying it- my own little office, I can wear jeans and a hoodie, pretty flexible hours, and Caleb can come along if/when needed.

Ok, I think that gets us caught up. Good night!
